Spirit is presence. Spirit is what moves through everything and yet cannot be held. It speaks in symbols, silence, synchronicities - in the breath between worlds. It dissolves separation and reminds us of the invisible threads that connect all of life.
Unlike the 4 elements, Spirit exists beyond polarity - it is neither feminine nor masculine. It simply is. However, feminine, masculine and also androgynous spirits (beyond the physical dimension) can emerge from it - of course.
Overall, it draws us into communion with something greater, into the mystery that lives beneath the surface of what we can name. The cosmic soup we emerge out of and the cosmic soup we melt back into. It lives in the dreamspace, in the unseen, in our capacity to surrender into the greater intelligence of life itself.
In Astrology, Spirit is most often connected to Pisces, Neptune, and the ethereal waters that dissolve us back into oneness. We also glimpse Spirit in the last degree of each sign, in thresholds, transitions, and liminal spaces - where identity softens and the veil thins.
Pisces teaches us how to merge with something greater than the self, to dissolve boundaries, and to trust the intelligence of the unseen.
Neptune governs dream, vision, illusion, and spiritual connection. It teaches us how to see with the inner eye, trust intuition as an expression of our higher self, to surrender ego, and to return to Source.

Pisces is the final expression of both Water and the zodiac - mutable, dissolving, and deeply transcendent. It is the ocean of soul, the mist between worlds, the final exhale before return. Pisces teaches us how to become permeable and let spirit move through us. How to let go, trust the unseen, and surrender into something greater than the self. This, is the realm of prayer.
